DOUGLAS, DELLA - age 90, of Trace Road, LaFollette, passed away Monday, May
10, 1999 at The LaFollette Medical Center. She was a member of LaFollette
Church of God and a lifelong member of The Church of God. She loved to fish,
chrochet and go to church. She enjoyed trips with the senior citizens. She
was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. General Douglas; daughter, Jewell
Richardson; infant son, Herman Douglas; parents, Lee and Mary Lee Lawson
Lynch. She is survived by daughters, Azalee Reedy and Mildred Witt, both of
LaFollette and Jean Cross of Cincinnati, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; 25
great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Rev. Don
Lynch and Charles Lynch, both of Knoxville; sisters, Ruby Wells of Florida
and Myrtle Baird of Jellico; several nieces and nephews and a host of other
relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 12,
1999 at The LaFollette Church of God with Rev. Kenneth Stevens and Rev.
Delmus Bruce officiating. The family will receive friends 3-8 p.m. Wednesday
before funeral services at the church. Interment 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 13,
1999 in Valley View Cemetery. Martin Funeral Home of LaFollette in charge.

FINCH, SPENCER FRANCIS - 88, of Oak Ridge, died Sunday, May 9, 1999 at The
Royal Care Nursing Home in Harriman. Retired from Union Carbide Corporation,
where he was a Supervisor in The Building and Grounds Division. Member of
Robertsville Baptist Church and a member for 51 years of The Masonic Lodge
#38 of Kingston, TN. He is survived by: sons, Stanley J. Finch and wife,
Gail, of Kingston, TN, Larry S. Finch and wife, Elizabeth, of Knoxville, TN,
Phillip Alan Finch and wife, Darlene, of Clinton, TN; daughter, Peggy June
Parks and husband, Earl, of Austell, GA; brother, Robert Lee Finch of
Shelbyville, TN; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services
are Tuesday, May 11, 1999 8:00 p.m. at Weatherford Mortuary with Dr. Michael
Prince officiating. Graveside services are Wednesday, May 12, 1999 at 1:00
p.m. (CST) at Jones Cemetery in Wildersville, TN with Rev. Jimmy Burroughs
officiating. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital,
P. O. Box 3704, Memphis, TN 38173-0704. The family will receive friends
Tuesday, May 11, 1999 from 6-8 p.m. at Weatherford Mortuary.

GIBBS, AMOS, ANDREW - age 84, of Andersonville, Tennessee, passed away
Monday, May 10, 1999 at the family home. Services will be Wednesday, May 12,
1999 at 8:00 p.m. at McCarty Woodhaven Chapel with Rev. bob Rose and Rev.
Stephen Freeman officiating. Graveside services will be Thursday 1 p.m. at
McCarty Woodhaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from
6:30-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. McCarty Woodhaven Chapel, 160
Edgemoore Rd., Powell, in charge.
