LETTER OF TRANSMITTAL
To his Excellency, J. C. W. Beckham,
Governor of Kentucky
Sir: I have the honor to submit herewith my third annual report as
Inspector of Mines, covering the calendar year 1899, being the sixteenth
annual report of this office. I do this is confidence that it will
merit your favorable consideration, and recieve the approval of the
public.
I desire to testify to the diligence and efficiency of Mr. C. W.
LOGAN, Assistant Inspector, in all his official duties. His services in
mine inspections have been of great value in procuring and maintaining
the good mine conditions so general throughout the State.
I beg also to acknowledge many favors and courtesies shown this
office by the trustees and officials of the State College, and express
to them my grateful appreciation for the same. Asking your cordial
co-operation in the future, and wishing you success in the
administration of State affairs, I have the honor to be,
