WORTHINGTON, CARRIE - age 86, of Lake City, went home to be with Jesus
Tuesday, May 4, 1999 at The Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. She was a
member of Pine Ridge Baptist Church where she attended faithfully while she
was able. She loved children and was a grandmother to all. She was born
November 12, 1912. Survivors: daughter, Dorothy Stiles and son-in-law, Al, of
Knoxville; sons, James R. Worthington and daughter-in-law, Regina, of Lake
City, Don Worthington and daughter-in-law, Mary, of Lake City and Harold
Worthington of Atlanta; brother, James Sexton and wife, Mildred, of Gaston,
South Carolina; grandchildren, Stacy Viles of Lake City, Julie Worthington of
Karns, Eddie Worthington of Lake City and Travis Worthington of Lake City;
several nieces, nephews and a host of friends; special friend, Dan Eller of
Atlanta. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, May 6, 1999
at The Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Lake City with funeral service following
at 8:00 p.m. in the chapel, the Rev. Sammie Epperson officiating. Interment
11:00 a.m. Friday, May 7, 1999 at Terry Creek Cemetery in Elk Valley.
Holley-Gamble Funeral Home of Lake City in charge of all arrangements.
