GRAY, MRS. GERALDINE SMITH - age 77, of 113 Fincastle Drive, LaFollette,
passed away Saturday, February 20, 1999. Mrs. Gray was a native of Campbell
County, but lived in Knoxville from the early 1950's through late 1997. Her
husband, Clifford Gray; her parents, Jerry L. and Vandalia Teague Smith; a
sister, Louella Smith Porter; and a brother, Fred W. Smith preceded her in
death. She was a member of the Meridian Baptist Church of Knoxville.
Survivors: brothers, Charles L. Smith, Lexington, Ky. and Robert P. Smith of
Dayton, Ohio; sisters, Wanda Wilmoth of Elizabethton, Ky. and Janice Teague of
Speedwell; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Monday,
February 22 8 p.m. at Walters Chapel. Family and friends met Tuesday, February
23 11 a.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery for interment. Nephews served as pallbearers.
Family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday before services at Walters
Funeral Home. Walters Funeral Home, LaFollette, in charge of arrangements.
WILBURN, CARLEE I. WALDEN - age 82, of Morristown, formerly of LaFollette,
passed away Monday, February 22, 1999 at Life Care Center. She was a member of
Kidwell's Ridge Baptist Church. While living in LaFollette, she and her
husband owned and operated a restaurant. She was preceded in death by her
husband, Arthur T. Wilburn, Sr.; parents, George and Bessie Lambert Walden.
Survivors include: her son and daughter-in-law, A.T. (Art) and Gerry Wilburn
of Bean Station and three grandchildren; sister, Gerry Parrott Asher of
Morristown; brother, Richard Lambert of Knoxville. Several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, 8 p.m., at Westside Chapel with Rev.
Harold Noe officiating. Graveside services will be Thursday, 11 a.m., in the
Woodlawn Cemetery in LaFollette, Tenn. The family will receive friends
Wednesday from 6-8 p.m., before time of services. Westside Chapel Funeral Home
in charge of arrangements.
