BEAN, MRS. HELEN J. - age 65, of Harriman, died Thursday, February 18, 1999,
at her home. She was a member of Emory Gap Baptist Church in Harriman. She is
survived by her husband, Andrew Bean of Harriman; two sons, Doran Cole of
Tazewell and Allen Cole of Harriman; six daughters, Bonnie Bean of Oliver
Springs, Debbie Bunch of Claxton, Becky Cole of Clinton, Loretta Edmonds of
Harriman, Darline Bean of Harriman and Helen Ann Stewart of Sweetwater; two
stepsons, Jerry Bean of Philadelphia, Tenn. and Ronny Bean of Lenoir City; one
stepdaughter, Kathy Bean of Lenoir City; and 47 grandchildren and great-
grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Saturday afternoon, February 20,
1999, at 1 p.m. at Emory Gap Baptist Church with Rev. Willard Gunter
officiating. Interment will follow in Roane Memorial Gardens. The family will
receive friends Friday evening February 19, 1999, from 6-9 p.m. in the chapel
of Davis Funeral Home.

BROWN, FRED - 66, of Olive Road, Clinton, passed away Wednesday at UT
Hospital. Mr. Brown was a former Tennessee Highway Patrolman and worked as an
electrician at Union Carbide Y-12. Mr. Brown was owner and operator of F&G
Auto Sales in Clinton, and Mid South Auto Auction. Member of Clinton Lions
Club and Clinton F.O.P. and I.B.E.W. Local 760. Preceded in death by: his
father, Charles Brown. Survivors: wife, Geneva Staples Brown of Clinton;
daughters and sons-in-law, Jeanie and Bill Moore of Knoxville, Doris and Klay
Kerns of Plattsmouth, Neb., Helen Brown of Clinton; mother, Nannie Fugate
Brown of Lenoir City. Funeral services 8:30 p.m., at Holley-Gamble Chapel with
Rev. Fred West, Jr. and Doctor Thomas Sweet officiating. Interment will be 11
a.m., Monday at Lakeview Cemetery in Lenoir City. Family will receive friends
7-8:30 p.m., Sunday at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton.

GRAVES, SANDRA PARKER - 51, of Clinton, died Wednesday, Feb. 17, 1999, at St.
Mary's Health System, Knoxville. Mrs. Graves was the wife of Ben Graves, owner
of Ben's Home Center, who survives her. She and her husband were married in
Morristown in 1969. She was born in Grainger County on October 10, 1947. Mrs.
Graves was a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority and the Ladies of the Elks
Auxiliary. She was a Baptist. In addition to her husband, she is survived by
her mother, Eloise Maney Parker of Morristown; two brothers, Eddie Parker and
Jay Parker, both of Morristown; and four sisters, Gloria Hibbard, Dawn Rogers,
and Debbie Courtney, all of Morristown and Shadelene McBee of Whitesville. Her
father, Milburn J. Parker, died earlier. The graveside service will be
private. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19, at
McCarty-Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home.

McNEIL, MR. CLYDE EVERETT - age 93, of Caryville, Tenn., went to be with the
Lord, February 18, 1999. He retired from L&N Railroad after 32 years of
service. He was a member of the Lake View Baptist Church and participated in
the Brotherhood of Railway Signalmen. Preceded in death by son, Donald Leon
McNeil; six brothers and sisters. Survivors: wife, Mrs. Lorena McNeil,
Caryville; daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Bill Bolton, Andersonville,
Rena and Norman Teague, Corbin, Ky., Sammie and Ed McClellan, Knoxville; six
grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Pearl Johnson,
Goodlettsville, Tenn.; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service Saturday 8
p.m. at Walters Chapel with Rev. Roger Stanley and Rev. Delmus Bruce
officiating. Interment Sunday 2 p.m. at Pine Hill Cemetery, Corbin, Ky. with
Rev. Carl Evans officiating. Family will receive freinds from 6-8 p.m.
Saturday before services at Walters Funeral Home. Walters Funeral Home,
LaFollette, in charge of arrangements.

WHITE, ARNOLD JEFFERSON - age 66, of LaFollette, passed away Wednesday,
February 17, 1999, at the LaFollette Medical Center. He was of the Baptist
faith. He was a veteran of the US Army having served during the Korean
Conflict. Preceded in death by parents, Don and Bedie White and brother, Cecil
White. Survivors: sister, Chloa White Rains, Ypsilanti, Mich. Funeral service
2 p.m. Friday, February 19, at Cross Chapel, Rev. O.D. Hill officiating.
Interment Davis Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends 12-2 p.m.
prior to services Friday. Arrangements by Cross Funeral Home.
