JOHNSON, GERALD DAVID - age 49, of LaFollette, passed away Saturday, January
16, 1999, at his residence. He was a retired night watchman with the Anderson
County Highway Department. He enjoyed hunting, camping and loved fishing. He
was born March 20, 1949, in Oliver Springs. He was of the non-denominational
faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Morris William and Rosa Lee
Strong Johnson. Survivors: daughter, Jerrilyn Johnson, Ohio; brothers, Charles
Johnson and wife, Gloria, LaFollette, Morris Johnson and wife, Sharon,
LaFollette; sisters, Ruth Angel and husband, Tom, Little Rock, Ark., Elaine
Deal and husband, Frank, Duck Town, Tenn., Brenda Jones, Redwater, Texas;
several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. The family will receive
friends 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, January 19, 1999, at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in
Lake City. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 20, 1999,
in the chapel with the Rev. J.C. Miller officiating. Interment will follow the
service in Oak Ridge Memorial Gardens. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home of Lake City
in charge of all arrangements.

JONES, CONSTANCE (CONNIE) RHEA HUMPHRIES - age 49, of Clinton, passed away
Sunday, January 17, 1999, at Oak Ridge Methodist Medical Center. Funeral
arrangements will be announced later by Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel.

MASSEY, JULIA M. - age 82, passed away Friday, January 16, 1999, at the Ft.
Sanders Regional Medical Center. She was formerly of the Medford Community.
She was a member of Clinch River Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by
her daughter, Pauline Holzpfel; and son, Cledith Massey. Survivors: sons and
daughters-in-law, Eddie and Cindy Massey, Moore Haven, Fla., Curtis and Linda
Massey, Indianapolis, Ind.; daughters and sons-in-law, Anna and Joe Jones,
Easley, SC, Glenna and Ted Coward, Claxton, Tenn., Louise Manning,
Indianapolis, Ind.; and three granddaughters who were very special caregivers,
Tonya and Natalie Coward, Teresa Riggs; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great-
grandchildren; sisters, Ruby Farmer, Tampa, Fla., Velma Miller, Pine Knot,
Ky.; brother, Maynard Brown; several nieces, nephews and many many friends.
Visitation 7-9 p.m. Monday, January 18, 1999, at Cox-Martin Funeral Home.
Funeral service 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 19, 1999, at the Cox-Martin Chapel
with the Rev. Michael Prince officiating. Interment Tuesday, January 19, 1999,
to follow service at McCarty-Woodhaven Memorial Gardens. Cox-Martin Funeral
Home in charge of all arrangements.
