AMOA A. BAIRD Jr., 45, of Lake City, died Wednesday, November 25 at UT Medical
Center in Knoxville. He was a United States Navy veteran. He was owner and
operator of Baird's Heating and Air in Lake City and also owner of Baird
Brother's Racing and racing car #2 known as "The Grey Ghost" at Big South Fork
Raceway. He was preceded in death by father, Amos A. Baird, Sr. Survivors
include wife, Evelyn June Powers Baird. Funeral services were held Sunday,
November 29 at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Lake City with Rev. Verlin
Phillips officiating. Interment followed in Foust Cemetery with military
honors presented by Campbell County Honor Guard.

SADA CHITWOOD, 91, of Fairview, Kentucky, died Monday, November 23 at Beech
Tree Manor in Jellico. She was preceded in death by parents, Melt and Grace V.
Bird Lawson and husband, James Chitwood. Funeral services were held Friday,
November 27 at Cox & Son Chapel with Rev. Bill Blackburn and Rev. Jim Bowling
officiating. Interment followed Saturday in Lot Cemetery.

ANNA MAE CLICK, 80, of Dayton, Ohio, formerly of LaFollette, died Saturday,
November 28 in Xenia, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by husband, Issac Click, Jr. Funeral services were
held Wednesday, December 2 at Cross Funeral Home with Rev. Don Reynolds
officiating. Interment followed in Campbell Memorial Gardens.

HAZEL WEAVER DAVIS, 87, of Knoxville, formerly of Jellico, died Tuesday,
November 24 at Brakebill Nursing Home in Knoxville. Graveside services were
held Saturday, November 28 at Douglas Cemetery with Rev. Ellis Hoskins
officiating. Llewellyn Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

SPENCER N. FARRIS, 65, of LaFollette, died Friday, November 20 at LaFollette
Medical Center.
He was preceded in death by parents, Cadle and Dollie Farris.. Survivors
include wife, Lue Brown Farris. Funeral services were held Wednesday, November
25 at Roach Chapel with Elder J.C. Monday officiating. Interment followed in
Beeler Cemetery, Speedwell.

WILLIAM D. GRANT, 74, of LaFollette, died Friday, November 27 at East
Tennessee Baptist Hospital. He served overseas with the US Navy taking part in
battles in Iwo Jima, Okinawa, Philippine Islands, and Borano. He received the
American Theatre Ribbon, Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon with three stars,
Phillipine Liberation Ribbon with one star, Distinguished Flying Cross, and
the Victory Medal. He also served with the US Air Force during the Berlin
Airlift. He was preceded in death by wife, Mildred Louise Manis Grant and
parents, Mary Arthur and Jesse Grant.
Funeral services were held Monday, November 30 at Cross Chapel with Rev.
Ernest Ward officiating. Interment followed in Bakers Forge Cemetery.

SHERMAN HATFIELD, 52, of Dayton, Ohio, formerly of Clairfield, died Monday,
November 23 at Grandview Hospital in Dayton. He was preceded in death by
father, Tilman Hatfield; mother, Rachel Sharp Hatfield. Funeral services were
held Saturday, November 28 at Clairfield Baptist Church with Rev. Floyd King
and Rev. Sherman Hatfield officiating. Interment followed in Rogerton
Cemetery. Harp Funeral Home of Jellico in charge of arrangements.

MARGARET Z. HATMAKER, 83, of LaFollette, died Tuesday, November 24 at
Continuum Courtyards in Johnson City, Tennessee. She was former President of
the Daughters of America for the State of Tennessee. She was preceded in death
by husband, Clayton Esco Hatmaker. Funeral mass was held Friday, November 27
at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Father Bill Gahagan
officiating. Graveside services were held Monday at Veterans Administration
Chapel, Mountain Home, Tennessee. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of
Perpetual Held Catholic Church, PO Box 1704, LaFollette, TN 37766-1704.

WILLIAM E. HILL, 75, of Augusta, Georgia, died Wednesday, November 25 at VA
Medical Center. He was a US Army veteran of WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. He is
survived by wife, Hannelore Glockner Hill. Funeral services were held
Saturday, November 28 at Elliott Sons Funeral Home in Augusta, Georgia.
Interment followed in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

MELISSA WELLS HUGHES, 87, of Jacksboro, died Friday, November 27 at LaFollette
Medical Center. She was preceded in death by husband, James W. Hughes. Funeral
services were held Monday, November 30 at Cross Chapel with Dr. Charles Parker
officiating. Interment followed Tuesday in Jacksboro Cemetery.

LEE JACKSON, 90, of Caryville, died Wednesday, November 25 at Sunrise Nursing
Home. She was preceded in death by parents, Ed and Cora Whitus; husband,
Harvey E. Jackson. Graveside services were held Friday, November 27 at Estes
Cemetery in Coalfield with Rev. Jim Wilcox officiating. Cross Funeral Home in
charge of arrangements.

BEULAH MAE LARKINS, 74, of Hudson, Florida, formerly of Jellico, died Sunday,
November 22 at Arbors of Bayonet Point in Bayonet Point, Florida. Funeral
services were held Friday, November 27 at Harp Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.
John Paul officiating. Interment followed in Douglas Cemetery.

HAZEL MARLOW, 56, of LaFollette, died Saturday, November 28 at LaFollette
Medical Center.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 1 at Walters Chapel with Rev.
Junior Dilbeck officiating. Interment followed in Oddfellow Cemetery.

GENEVA MCCULLAH, 83, of Pioneer, died Saturday, November 28 at Jellico
Community Hospital.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 1 at Harp Funeral Home Chapel
with Rev. Jerome Yancey officiating. Interment followed in Valleyview
Cemetery.

EMMITT MILLER, 64, of White Oak, died Friday, November 27 at Jellico Community
Hospital.
He was preceded in death by John Hogan Miller and Lillie Huddleston Miller.
Survivors include wife, Cora Marlow Miller of White Oak. Funeral services were
held Sunday, November 29 at Cox & Son Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Freeman and Rev.
James Bolton officiating. Interment followed in Peabody Cemetery.

MARY MORGAN, 54, of Jellico, died Monday, November 23 at Beech Tree Manor.
Funeral services were held Thursday, November 26 at Harp Funeral Home Chapel
with Rev. Jerry Yancey and Rev. Denny Wayne Davis officiating. Interment
followed in Douglas Cemetery.

BUFORD L. PERKINS, 54, of Rockhold, Kentucky, formerly of Elk Valley, died
Sunday, November 22 at his home.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 25 at Llewellyn Funeral Home in
Jellico with Rev. Denny Wayne Davis and Rev. David Morgan officiating.
Interment followed in Valleyview Cemetery in Elk Valley.

WILLIAM PERRY, Jr., 61, of Wooldridge, died Tuesday, November 24 at UT Medical
Center in Knoxville.
He was preceded in death by father, William Perry, Sr.; mother, Bessie Brown
Perry. Survivors include wife, Cora Ellen Perry. Funeral services were held
Saturday, November 28 at Wooldridge Community Church with Rev. Durand Dixon
and Rev. Jimmy Bowman officiating. Interment followed in Douglas Cemetery.

LLOYD M. RECTOR, 67, of Knoxville, died Saturday, November 28 at his home. He
was a member of the American Legion in Nashville. He was also a veteran of the
Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by parents, Oscar and Sally Beaty
RectorFuneral services were held Monday, November 30 at Martin Chapel with
Rev. Ralph Cordell officiating. Interment followed in Jacksboro Cemetery with
military honors by the Campbell County Honor Guard.

MARY CATHERINE DOWELL RICHARDSON, 85, of Caryville, died Monday, November 23
at LaFollette Medical Center. She was preceded in death by husband, Condy
Richardson Funeral services were held Friday, November 27 in the chapel of
Martin Funeral Home with Rev. Jehu Parks and Rev. C.H. Baird officiating.
Interment followed in Harness Cemetery.

TOM LEE SHARP, 64, of LaFollette, died Sunday, November 29 at oak Ridge
Methodist Medical Center Mr. Sharp received many honors during his career in
the US Army including the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal
(6th Award), Army Commendation Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Vietnam Service Medal
with two bronze stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 Device, Vietnam Cross of
Gallantry with Palm (unit), and two Overseas Service Bars. He was preceded in
death by parents, Thomas and Emma Sharp. Funeral services were held Wednesday,
December 2 at Cross Funeral Home with Rev. Rob Huddleston officiating.
Interment followed in Sharp Cemetery with military honors.

LLOYD B. SIMMS, 72, of LaFollette, died Tuesday, November 24 at LaFollette
Medical Center. He was preceded by his parents, Lloyd and Myrtle Parker Simms.
Survivors include wife, Patricia Loveday Simms. Funeral services were held
Thursday, November 26 at the chapel of Martin Funeral Home with Rev. Mike
Smith and Bro. Eddie Marlow officiating. Interment followed Friday in Woodlawn
Cemetery.

BERTHA ANN SLOVER, 81, of Arlington, Virginia, died Thursday, November 26 in
Arlington.
She was preceded in death by parents, William and Martha Smith Holland.
Funeral services were held Sunday, November 29 at Martin Funeral Home with
Elder John Coble and Elder F. Eugene Muggridge officiating. Interment followed
in Terry Creek Cemetery.
