RICHARDSON, H. McHENRY - 96, of Norris, died Monday at Methodist Medical
Center in Oak Ridge. A native of LaFollette. He worked his way through the
University of Tennessee to a degree in engineering in 1929. He began working
as an engineer for the Tennessee Valley Authority in 1933, soon after the
agency was established. He leaves his wife, Sara Cheek Richardson of Norris; a
son and daughter-in-law, Frank M. and Sherry Richardson of Denver, Colo.; two
grandchildren, Cameron Richardson of Franklin, N.C. and Scott Richardson of
Portugal; sister, Jenny Lee Hupple of Orlando, Fla. He was a long-time member
of the Norris Religious Fellowship. Graveside service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at
Norris Memorial Gardens with Dr. Robert M. Puckett and Dr. Keith Haverkamp
officiating. In lieu of flowers, friends may make memorial gifts to the Norris
Religious Fellowship, P.O. Box 267, Norris, TN 37828. Holley-Gamble Funeral
Home, Clinton, in charge of arrangements.

THOMAS, WILLIAM L. "BILL" - age 74, of Lake City, Tenn., passed away June 22,
1998, at the Methodist Medical Center. He was born August 3, 1923, in
Danville, Va. He was a member of the Lake City United Methodist Church. He was
a supervisor at Riches department store, he was a manager of LaFollette Auto
Parts, and also for Southern Railroad. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII. He is
preceded in death by his granddaughter, Kelly R. Johnson; parents, Earnest L.
and Beatrice Burgin Thomas; brother, Grady Sylvester Thomas. Survivors: wife
of 50 years, Helen Easterly Thomas, Lake City; daughter, Karen Lynn (Thomas)
Johnson, Lake City; son and daughter-in-law, David William and Linda Thomas,
Lockhart, Texas; granddaughter, Kathy Johnson, Tampa, Fla.; grandsons, David
E. Thomas, Lockhart, Texas, Carl L. Thomas, Lockhart, Texas; sister-in-law,
Thelma Easterly, Lake City. Visitation 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, 1998, at
Cox-Martin Chapel. Service 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, 1998, at Cox-Martin
Funeral Home with Rev. Sam Johnson officiating. Interment 11 a.m. Thursday,
June 25, 1998, at Oak Grove Cemetery, Lake City, Tenn. Full military honors at
graveside. Cox-Martin Funeral Home of Lake City in charge of arrangements.
