McFARLAND, HARVEY, JR. - age 69, of LaFollette, passed away Thursday, May 7,
1998, at James H. Quillen VA Medical Center, Mountain Home, Tenn. He was a
member of Indiana Avenue Baptist Church, DAV Chapter #105 and VFW Dion Brown
Memorial Post, Lake City. Mr. McFarland was retired from the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors: wife of 54 years, Trula White McFarland; mother, Maidie Webb,
LaFollette; brothers, Charlie McFarland, Ft. Walton Beach, Fla., George
McFarland, LaFollette; half-sister, Marie Moses, LaFollette; several nieces
and nephews. Funeral service 8 p.m. Saturday, May 9, at Cross Funeral Home,
Rev. Mark Partin officiating. Interment 9:30 a.m. Sunday, May 10, at Bakers
Forge Cemetery with VFW, Lake City, in charge of military honors. The family
will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Cross Chapel. Arrangements by Cross
Funeral Home.
