Our search feature pulls up all instances of any
particular surname in the cemetery transcriptions per
county, this opens in a separate page and when you
click on the link, it takes you to the cemetery
transcription, to the text file.
If there are photos it also takes you to a text-only
file and from there if you read all the information at
the top of the page, there's a notation about where
photos are.
In this particular very large county survey, if the
decision is to list by surname, since it's so huge,
there will more than likely be several pages of a
particular alpha letter: like Aa-Ae, Af-Ai, etc. so
there will be a certain amount of back and forth
clicking to the main page to get to the next alpha
letter.
Searching using the search feature will also be
helpful. But bear in mind, it brings up every instance
of whatever you ask for. SFor example, if you are
looking for JACKSON and there's a John Jackson Smith
who you have no interest in at all, he'll still be one
of the search returns.
FYI: So far in the several lists (not just TN either)
the majority of people have said they prefer listings
by surname rather than by cemetery. This is a big
surprise to me!
