Sounds like a great event.  I was wondering about this statement.

At the outbreak of the war, on his church yard he raised and served as the
chaplain for Company B of the First United States Colored Infantry serving
mostly in Virginia
I understand the regiments had state name and were later changed to USCT numbers, but certainly it does not seem they could have been organized "at the Outbreak of the civil war -- which would have been spring 1861 certainly. Several unit claim the be the beginning of Black troops in the Civil war, but they all seem to be 1862/1863 at the earliest.  For example, in Sept. 1862, the Black Brigade of Cincinnati, and there were some Black units in Kansas, South Carolina and Louisiana around this time as well.  Then there is the 54th and 55th in 1863 with some claims depending on how one wants to measure things  So the First Regiment (regardless of what the were called originally) seemingly could not have been formed until more than a year and a half after the beginning of the war it seems, the war being at least a 1/3 over or more.   Maybe something like:  During the Civil War, on his church yard ...etc.
