Steve,
I originally checked the West Springfield Veterans Schedule, only 6 pages, and didn't find him. I then tried Springfield and saw Bridge St. listed on those pages. He appears in the 1880 and 1900 censuses and both are listed as West Springfield. I thought West Springfield was a section of Springfield. Thanks for the information about the two cities.
