Hi Listers,
We have a new match on the Stewart DNA project. I normally would only post this on the Stewart DNA list, but this was just too good not share with everyone.
A man has matched the line of Charles Steward, one of the earliest VA. lines . Charles Steward was in Henrico Co VA by 1632, from there they intermarried with the Burton, Hatcher, Tanner, Farmer families. This man was very excited to learn he matched my friend, as he only could get back to a certain Robert Stewart born ca. 1785-1790 in the Giles CO VA area. Robert Stewart was found on 1820 Mercer Co VA, now West VA census, with wife Mary. Imagine his surprise to learn her comes from one of the oldest documented Stewart families in the USA, who were by the way from England.
