Hi List...Once again I am looking for anyone who is researching any of the Londonderry Stewarts.
The Line goes:
I. Robert Stewart 1655 m. Jannette Forsythe b. 1655 both born in Scotland. She is 1st to America in 1718 from Ulster, North Ireland. Her oldest son John was a founding father of Londonderry, NH
II. Robert Stewart 1684 m. unk. Would love to be able to find the answer to this one. He was born in Scotland lived a long time in Andover, MA and then Amherst, NH
III. John Stewart b. 1714 m. Keturah Holt b. 1714 both from Andover, then Amerst, NH
IV. Simpson Stewart b. 1749 m. Hannah unknown maiden name. Two camps...one says Rollins the other says Delano...neither have any substantiation or documents of proof. Rollins comes out of LDS sites and no one there supports much of what they purport. It is believed that they lived in Amherst, N.H. when they married and later went to Jaffrey, NH where their children were born.
Then they moved on to Berlin, VT around 1790.
V. John Stewart b. 1774 m. Tamor Hubbard b. 1781 Both were born in VT and lived their lives in Berlin, VT.
Things are pretty well documented after that...Their son Charles May Stewart lived in VT and NH and then Iowa. His widow remarried after his death and lived in Lake Mills, Iowa but died in Moorcroft, Wyoming while living with her son George. She was 94 years young.
If any of this is familiar, I would like to correspond.
Regards.
