Rather than this (as retyping offers an opportunity to introduce new errors), I prefer
to edit the portions of the imported database and the transfer them piecemeal to my main
family file. My software, Reunion, makes this very easy: each entry is marked or checked,
then only the checked entries are moved, after which they can be linked where appropriate
in the main file.
