Hello list,

As a descendant of Charles Stewart and Hannah/Johanna Kirk, I too am very
interested in this DNA research.
I descend through their son, George Stewart and wife, Rebecca Utley,(many
Utley's became Mormon to UT as well as did other allied families in this
area) after Georges death in Wake County in June of 1831, Rebecca Stewart
moved to Tuscaloosa, Alabama, their son William married Delphia Jones of
Cumberland County, North Carolina, they too migrated to Alfoma, Tuscaloosa
Co., Alabama where my 3rd Great Grandmother, China Anne Stewart was born in
October 3, 1845, she married Alma Lutz of Philadelphia, PA in SLC in 1868.
Her Father, William Stewart , b. 24 Oct 1800, Fayetteville, Cumberland Co.
North Carolina became a Mormon, was nearly tarred and feathered in NC so the
move to Alabama (?)Mormon Pioneer to Utah from North Carolina with Family
arriving in Salt Lake City, Utah in September 1847. Williams wife, Delphia
Jones died of Measles in Salt Lake City, UT in 23 April, 1850.

I'd be interested in knowing whether this line is participating in this DNA
research ? Hopefully we will be able through DNA to tie many of these
seperate Stewart families together. This DNA study is a great opportunity to
prove what we've long suspected as to relationships. Maybe not on paper but
by DNA which could help narrow down our avenues of research

Thank You,

Best Regards,

Marty Graybill

Researching, Stewart/Stuart, Kirk, Cooke, Hockaday, Jones, Lutz
