Guilty as charged.
Looking for following Stewart's in TN.
Thomas Stewart b@1806 TN m. Nancy? b. @1808 VA
Children:
Mountibammus Stewart b@1831
Virginia Stewart b@1834
Elizabeth Stewart b@1835
Sarah Stewart b@1832
Thomas Jefferson Stewart b 1840 Maury Co., TN m. Martha Latta
Charles Stewart b@1842
Edward STewart b@1844 died young
Ann Stewart b@1847
Ophelia Stewart b@1848
Maxy Stewart b@1853
Due to the five year gap between Elizabeth and Thomas Jefferson, I suspect
Nancy could have been a second wife. All names and estimated dates taken
from 1850 census, Maury Co., TN.
You'd think with a couple of great names like Mountibammus and Ophelia it
would be easy to find something, anything on these Stewarts, but I haven't
found anything before this census. There are no Thomas Stewarts in Maury Co
in 1840, although there are several in the TN census. I just don't know
which is mine!
Thomas Jefferson Stewart married Martha Latta. Their children had great
names, too:
Walter G. b.1867 m. Ida Edwards
Blanche b. 1869
Allison Templeton b. 1877 m. Mary Lanius,
Allison Templeton was my grandfather. We have no idea where the Allison or
Templeton names come into the family, although they have been associated with
Stewarts in Virgina.
Would dearly love the least snippet of info on any of these people.
Thanks,
Lisa
