Re your Sandhill, Peel County reference:

The 1871 Ontario Census has been indexed by the Ontario Genealogical
Society, but based on the dates you provided in your e-mail, perhaps 1871 is
too early. Anyway, the index is available at

You might also try the Ontario Cemetery Finding Aid
(http://www.islandnet.com/ocfa/)... The OGS might also be helpful; it's at
http://www.ogs.on.ca.

I heard rumours that the Mormons were going to index one of the more
'recent' Ontario censuses (1891 perhaps), but I don't know if it's true.

I was looking at some of my records and saw something that I had not thought
about. I have a note that Peter STEWART born 1802 in Nova Scotia died in
Sandhill, Peel, Ontario in 1894 and apparently that is where Alexander
Campbell STEWART went at sometime in his life, because I found the note that
he died in the same area and that Annie INGLIS the person he married is also
from that area.
Now, how in the world could I have missed this? I don't know, but it just
jumped out at me today since I have been banging my head against the wall to
find what happened to Alexander. I don't know if this is fact, but, it is
something to follow up on.
Does anyone know how I can do a search, other than the usual
Ancestry,Rootsweb,etc,and find him? Maybe someone has the census for Ontario
in 1881-1891-1901?

There is only one other alternative to getting older, and I'm not ready for
that yet. I'm too busy diggin my roots and searching for more limbs to my
tree.
