I expect you already know that Daniel is in the SCM:
Daniel KY 1778 s.? m.Sarah--, ClayCo D309, 320, 321, I180
But nothing further back. By the way, nearly all -- six out of nine --
of his children married Smiths!
I also have a note scribbled in on page I180 that Carol (no last name),
at sent in information that Daniel's wife Sarah was a
Smith, too (the SCM editor had only known her name was Sarah). This was
in October 1997. Hope she's still around.
