Looking for the elusive James who was b. ca. 1725 and went to NC from Augusta
Co.,VA, with no wife and children James Stewart, Jr., John Stewart, Mary, and
Sarah. He may have been one of two James Stewart's listed in Henning's
"Statues at Large" which names Virginia Colonial Militia from Augusta Co,
September 1758. He went to Rowan Co, the part that became Iredell Co. after
1788. He remarried: Lilias Morton Mitchell. Particularly looking for
evidence of his first wife in VA and origins before VA.
