Searching for information or descendants of William Green Stewart, born
1822 in Mason county, KY to William N. Stewart and Abigail Shotwell. He
left Mason KY about 1848, moving to Lafayette MO, and marrying Rebecca
Stewart in Ray MO in 1850. She apparently died about 1853, and he
returned to Mason Ky until his parents died about 1856. I lose track of
him until the 1900 Lafayette MO census, when he is living with family
member Benjamin Blincoe, aged 78. He died in Lafayette Mo on August 30,
1907.

He may have remarried; there is a listing in the Clinton Mo 1860 census
for a W.G. Stewart, aged 36 (close) with wife Eliza and Elizabeth Gant,
9.

If anyone has any info on these folks, I would really appreciate it. My
line comes from a brother of William.
