Please can any of you Stewarts can help with this one.
I have been trying to tie a Phineas Stewart (Rev War Soldier) from
Stonington Ct, to one of his sons, a Terry. Terry was supposed to have
been born circa 1770, as I have it in Westerly RI. However Westerly,
and Stonington are near each other, so it may be possible that he was
born in CT. I need this infiormation for the DAR. It states in the
Stewart Clan Magazine, that Phineas is the father of this child, but
the DAR will not accept this as gospel, and they need some hard proof,
such as a birth record or something of the like. Would love to know
where the S C Magazine got their information.
If no one can help could you point me in the right direction.
