Thanks Mary, something to look into.
The E.B. Hammer who signed as a witness for Alfred Stewart and
Francis Spradling was my ggg grandfather. His mother was Keziah
Stewart. She also had a younger brother named Alfred and named my gg
grandfather Alfred.
It just has to be family, but tying them in, well!!
I am sure there is a connection on the Barren Co. KY Stewarts too.
There were quite a few Barren Co. and Monroe Co.KY residents who moved
to TX in a wagon train about 1856. My ggg grandfather E. B. Hammer
among them. It is possible some of the Stewart Clan moved with them
too. Haven't gotten into that, still trying to find them in TN and KY.
