MARY STEWART
Champaign - Memorial services for Mary Fryer Stewart, 53, of
Washington, N. C., formerly of Champaign, will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday
at First Christian Church, 1509 W. John St., C. The Rev. Dennis
Durst will officiate.

Private burial will be at a later date at Mount Olive Cemetery,
Mayview. There will be no visitation. Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S.
Philo Road, U, is in charge of arrangements.

She died at 2:30 a.m. PDT Friday (March 10, 2000) in Santa Rosa, Calif.

She was born Sept. 25, 1946, in Champaign, a daughter of Robert and
Mary Jane McHenry Fryer. She married Robert Stewart. He survives.

Also surviving are her parents of Urbana; two daughters, Michelle Del
Poml and Rebecca Brown, both of Warrington, Pa.; and three brothers,
Robert Fryer, Jr. of Crescent City, Fla., Stephen Fryer of Cissna
Park and Paul Fryer of Champaign.

She graduated from Urbana High School in 1964 and from Beaver
College, Glenside, Pa. She was a former member of Webber Street
Church, Urbana; a member of the Junior Women's Club, Swarthmore, Pa.;
the Art Council of Washington, N. C.; and served on the election
board of Washington, N.C. She was a volunteer at Browns' Library,
Washington, N.C. She enjoyed gardening. Memorials may be made to
the American Diabetes Association, 2580 Federal Drive, Suite 403,
Decatur, IL 62526.
