Several people have already suggested combining the lists. (Wow! Youse guys
ARE paying attention... :) There are serious obstacles to doing that because
of the way Rootsweb is organized, but I'll look into it.

One way would be for me to just combine the lists of subscribers, but that
would involve manually adding each name to each list, and I couldn't do that
without getting individual permission from each subscriber. Admin nightmare.

The GenConnect boards still have to remain under the variant spellings
because that's how people search for documents

Again, I agree it would be a good idea. If there's any way to accomplish it
I will.

What I will do right away is change the message new subscribers get,
informing them of the existence of the other lists and strongly encouraging
them to subscribe to all.
