Hello Albert-
Replying to your query--I'm searching for relatives of Albert L. Stuart, b.
1819 in Connecticut. Parents and siblings are unknow but the 1820 Census of
Connecticut only had eight heads of household. My Albert shows up in Shelby
County, TN in the 1840 Census, was 20 years old, a lawyer, and had married a
Susan Rea there on January 2, 1840. They had a child late that year named
George W., In 1841 he goes to Greene County Arkansas, served in the State
Legislature 1850-1852, practiced law there until 1876, when a horse kicked
him. He is buried in Woods Chapel Cemetary in that County. He left a wife
named Jane (b.Illinois) and eight children. Do your Stuart's go back to
Connecticut in 1820, or do you have a connection?
Many thanks,
Galen Louie Stuart
