Hello all - Thank you everyone for the great response to the Surname database
update. We have over 500 hits in the last 2 days, so I ask you patience if
you are not able to get there the first time. I have also receive some
questions and comments that I felt the answers to might be helpful to many.

On some systems (& mine here at home) the site will come up with a black
page, a large box, with a small box in the upper left hand corner - click on
the little box - that will bring up the rest of the site.

A picture looking like a negative will come up - and still on a dark screen.
Scroll down a little - on the left hand side will be instructions, and below
will be instructions and letters of the database, as well as the individual
surnames we are researching. It is still on a black screen - When I first
got my computer I had reset my screen contrast and light/dark on my system
because my eyesight isn't what it used to be :), and have no trouble reading
the messages on the page.
