Hi Justine,
No luck trying to find in my indexes of the Stewart Clan Magazine any of
these names, but it wasn't really very well represented by Scottish research.
Have you tried getting in touch with the Record Office in Scotland?
To search blindly for Charles in Ireland, I'd try Antrim first -- the
countries were so close together that people would cross over by ferry for
market day. And of course no records were kept of any of this, as it was all
one country and who keeps records of ferryboat passengers anyway.
You might try the Ulster Historical Foundation in Belfast too, but they
don't give very speedy service. They have website, I don't have the url
handy but you can find it with a search engine.
Also, are you subscribed to the rootsweb mailing list for Scotch-Irish?
They are very active and helpful.
Good luck,
Mary

found a relative called Charles STEWART who was born approx 1802 in Ireland.
He married Catherine DUFF on 28 Mar 1830 in Perthshire. I would like to try
and locate where in Ireland he was born. Does this ring any bells with
anyone....at all.... please? As I said a long shot.
