Seeking help from any Canadian Stewart researcher.
I have a Donald Stewart, born in Canada in 1856. Parents were Donald and
Lottie Stewart (both also born in Canada), had two brothers and three
sisters. He lived in the Calumet/Lake Linden area of Upper Michigan 1880 -
1891. He married (1886) Ellen Murphy in Calumet, Michigan and had two
daughters, Mary Agnes (1886) and Margaret Ellen (1891) then disappears from
all records. Children were given away and his wife moves away (Montana) and
remarries (1895), stating that she had never been married and had no previous
children. She made a fresh start, but I need to find out what happened to
Donald. I can't find a death record or divorce record. Margaret Ellen is my
grandmother. Thanks for any help.
