We would appreciate any information on the following Stewarts (sons of
Alexander Stewart - b. 1706-1709 - who came into Philadelphia with his
family cir 1759): John Stewart (b.1727) came earlier than the rest of his
family. He remained in Lancaster Co., Pa. and was a clerk of court. Samuel
(b. 1732) and Joseph (b. 1735) came to Mecklenburg Co., NC. We can find no
trace of them after 1795. The other 3 brothers, William, Archibald, and
Alexander came to York Co., SC and have been documented.
