Hi! This is my first attempt and I do hope the first time is a charm!
I'm looking for a James STEWART married to Nancy WHITELEY living in
Clark Co, Ohio and probably Springfield, from about 1840 to 1856 when
they moved to Iowa. Known children are: Esther born 1842, Joseph born
1845, James Wilson born 1949, Edwin Pratt born 10 June 1853, Lura born
1855, Nancy born 1857 and Edie A. born 1861. The last two children were
born in Iowa. From census records James was born in New York. Nancy
Whiteley is the daughter of John Whiteley and Christiana Hall of
Springfield, Clark Co., Ohio. The Whiteley's came to Ohio from North
Carolina>,Virginia>, Harrison Co. Kentucky> then to Clark Co., Ohio.
When the Stewart's left Ohio they were in Blackhawk Co., Iowa for a few
years and then settled for many years in Washington, Wapello Co., Iowa.
