Hello John,

This may be the Mary Stewart mentioned in the Stewart Clan Magazine on page
E225, daughter of James Stewart and Margaret -- who lived in Wilson Co., TN.
Her birthdate was not known at that time, and all that is known of her
husband is that he was -- Kirkpatrick, taken from her father's will, where
she is given as Mary Kirkpatrick. Another of her sisters, Ila, who could
have been Isabella, also married a Kirkpatrick.

On F240 there is another entry, apparently from a letter to the editor,
mentioning a James Stewart who had two daughters, Mary, b. 11 Nov 1773 and
Isabella, b. 13 Aug 1777,who married sons of Alexander and Jane (Stewart)
Kirkpatrick of Orange county, moving thence to Wilson county, TN (E225). So
that gives you yet another unknown Stewart line to plague you!

However, the Alexander Kirkpatrick who married Jane Stewart is mentioned on
pages C283, 284 (which are just queries), E106 (which gives her lineage,
going back to Hugh Stewart of New Castle County, Delaware), 225 (possibly
his gravestone), as well as F240, so there's hope for that one. Please see
my website http://users.hol.gr/~mkyritsi/ for the Indexes to the Stewart
Clan Magazine, plus linking pages to tell you how to interpret these page
numbers, and where you can find copies of the SCM, now defunct.

Good luck,
Mary
