Hi;
I haven't posted in over a year and seeing all the Steward's give's me
goose bumps again. My brick wall over fours now years is still Leonard
Steward/Stewart. Leonard Steward/Stewart was listed living in Union Co.SC
from 1790 to 1850 (I think he must have died between 1850-1860 because his
wife (Niah) and children were still there in 1860. I know nothing about
Niah or Leonard as far as parents, sisters etc. except Leonard was born
1783-84 and Niah was born 1800- or+ a year. They had three children that I
know of. I might add the name was always spelt Stewart by the census taker.
(#1)William G. Steward/born 1827/ married- Margaret L. Steen/born 1835/
daughter of Col. Gideon Steen/born 1796/ and Naiomi Townsend/born 1796 all
born in Union Co.SC as far as I know.
(#2)Frances Steward/ born 1846 in Union/
(#3)Leonard Steward/ born 1853 in Union/
William G. Steward/Stewart and Margaret L. (Steen) Steward/Stewart
migrated to Ala. and stayed there until 1890 or so. Migrated into Grayson
Co. Texas in 1900-or+ a few years, and that is where I come in.
I will be more than happy to share any information I have and would be
over whelmed to get any information on either Leonard/ Niah?/Frances
Stewart/Steward/ Col. Gideon Steen or Naiomi Townsend/
Marvin O. Steward
(A Texas Steward)
