I am looking for information on Daniel Stewart who was born in Scotland,
we think in Appin District, Argyll, ca.1751. He came to North Carolina
ca. 1790, bringing his son, Dugald. Tradition has his wife as Mary
McLaurin. She did not come over. We went to Scotland and could not find
a grave in the Appin cemetary. We have most of his descendants but can't
trace him back over there. If anybody can help, please!
