I am new to the list and so I hope that I am doing this right.

I am looking for information on my grandfather who was suppose to have been
born Oliver STEWARD on June 27, 1891 in St Louis, MO.

I have tried the census and soundex from that time frame and I have had no
luck in finding him. He had 5 children and a wife who are all deacesed now.

Before my aunt died she told me that he had two sisters, both younger then
him, and that when he was between 5 and 7 years old their natural parents died
and they were taken in by the neighbors. So I do not know if the Steward
name is his birth name or if he was adopted.

If there is anyone who can help me find this line of my family I would greatly
appreciate it. For the record, I am not even sure if this is the correct way
that his name was spelled to begin with.

He died May 14, 1950 in Tulsa, OK. Which is where he and his family moved to
around 1910. give or take a few years.
