Hi, I recently joined this list. I'm trying to trace my Stewart line
which is proving to be rather challenging. I'm looking for advice from
anyone with experience in tracing Stewarts in the mid 1800s in England,
Scotland or New Zealand. This is what I know about my gg grandmother:

Name:Esther Stewart
Born:about 1830
Husband:David Paxton Clarkson
Husband's birth:1829, Greenwich, Kent, England
First Child's birth:1853, Lyttelton, New Zealand
Husband's Death:1889, London, England
(Esther was still living)

In his will David left Esther the proceeds of two life insurance
policies, one with the Commercial Union Assurance Company Limited and
the other with the Scottish Widows Fund Life Assurance Society.
