Thank you, Maria!

Would you check for the names Patrick, Lerna or Learna, Orlando, and Susan? I
am determined to discover anything I can about these people! None of the
above names are Hubbard names, so hopefully they are Stewart??

I feel lucky in that I live in the Denver metro area and have access to the
Tomes through the Denver Public Library. Now, if I can only find this family!

I requested and received the following will for Addison Stewart, who died at
Ft. Ann, Washington Co., NY. Addison is buried in the Hubbard Cemetery near
Waterloo, Seneca Co., NY.

Addison StewartÂ’s Will

I Addison Stewart of Fort Ann, County of Washington and State of New York
being of sound and disposing mind and memory and considering the uncertainty
of this mortal life, and that the ??? of my probationary state has fully ???
when I ??to manifest my desires, wishes, and will in ??? to the disposition
of my property which I may leave ? my deceased - Do make and publish this my
last Will and Testament in manner following:

??? I give unto my wife Prudence Stewart, and to her heirs and assigns the sum
of five thousand dollars, payable in one year from my decease, and a portion
or portions thereof, sooner than the expiration of said year from my decease,
in case she may need it.

Item - I give unto my daughter Susan, wife of Orlando Hubbard, county of
Seneca, the sum of three thousand dollars, payable one year from my decease,
and I give unto each of her children, Stewart Hubbard, Martha Prudence
Hubbard, and Abijah Hubbard the sum of one thousand dollars each payable to
them as they respectively arrive to the age of twenty one years, with interest
thereon, to commence one year from my decease. And with full power to my
executrix and executor herein after named, or the survivor of them, to advance
from time to time my Grandchildren, children of my said daughter Susan, during
their of either of their minority, such parts or portions thereof as my said
executors or survivors of them may think they need, and adjudge beneficial to
l right to
prosecute therefore, until the expiration of one year from my decease, whether
of said age or not.

Item - I do hereby fully authorize and empower my executors or the survivor of
them to sell all my real estate, as well my home farm and all lands pertaining
thereto, as also all other lands and real estate belonging to me at my
decease, wheresoever the ???may be, and conveyances to give and execute of
all my right title and interest therein

Item - All the rest and residue of my property and estate belonging to me at
my decease, after the payment of my just debts, and legacies herein before
mentioned and intended is to go to and be equally divided among my said wife,
and daughter and Grand Children, all equally and alike be the same more or
less.

???? - I do hereby nominate and appoint my said wife executrix, and the said
Orlando Hubbard executor of this my last will and testament, hereby revoking
all former wills by me made.

In testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal at Fort Ann
aforesaid this ninth day of December in the year one thousand eight hundred
fifty-four.

Signed, sealed published and declared by the said Addison Stewart as and for
his last will and testament in the presence of us who have submitted our names
as witnesses, in his presence, at his request and in the presence of each
other.

Surrogates Court Washington County

In the matter of Proving the Last Will and Testament of Addison Stewart late
of Fort Ann deceased.

Washington County S.S. Henry Thorne and Jason Corning, both of the town of
Fort Ann in said county, being first duly sworn in open court severally
declare and say, that they were acquainted with the above named Addison
Stewart in his lifetime, and that they and each of them were present, and saw
him subscribe his name to the end of the instrument in writing now produced
and
e the Last Will and Testament of the
said deceased bearing date the ninth day of December A.D. One thousand eight
hundred and fifty four. That the said deceased at the time of subscribing his
name as aforesaid, published and declared the said instrument to be his last
Will and Testament, in the presence of these deponents, and of each of them:
and these deponents at the request of the said deceased, and in his presence,
and in the presence of each other, subscribed their names respectively
???as witnesses to the execution thereof, and these deponents further say that
Jus. Corning and William H. Caswell, did in like manner subscribe their names
as witnesses to the execution of the said will: That at the time of the
execution thereof, the said deceased was a citizen of the United States, above
the age of twenty one years, of sound disposing mind and memory, and not under
restraint to the best of the knowledge information and belief of these
deponents.

I, U.G. Paris, Surrogate of said county do hereby certify that the foregoing
is a correct record of the Last Will and Testament of Addison Stewart late of
the town of Fort Ann deceased, and of the testimony taken by and before me on
proving said will as a will of real and personal estate. Dated June 21st
1860.
