According to Pheobe L. Steward's death cert., her mother was Fanny E.
Presley b-LA and father Henry Steward, b-LA. As you know information on
Death certs are not always accurate but it's the best I have at present.
Pheobe L. was reported to be born in Jan of 1856 in Shreveport, LA. She
had a sister, Fanny, and a brother, Henry. Pheobe L. was reported to be
married 1st to a Steward, who was her cousin (don't know if it was 1st,
2nd or 3rd). She had one son, James C. Her 2nd marriage was to a
Sprinkle.

I found a record in the 1850 AR census of James Steward, 25 b-LA. He and
his wife, Katharine, 25, b-LA and a baby, Susan were in Drew Co. Henry
would be 23 but he is not in 1850 AR census. Could these two LA born
Stewards be related? Could they have been brothers? If so, who could
possibly have been their parents? And the really big question remains:
how are the LA and AR Stewards related???
