I am new to the list and though I would let all know the lines in the
Stewart Family I'm researching. I would appreciate any help from anyone.

ME - J. Chris Fleming, b. 7 Aug 1955; m. 21 Jun 1975 to Palma Johnson, b.
17 Sep 1956. We have two children.

FATHER - Clinton Fleming b. 4 May 1926; m. 24 Dec 1943 to Lessie Mae
Johnson, b. 7 Jul 1927. They have 4 children.

GRANDFATHER - John Jefferson Fleming, b. 4 Aug 1900; m. 24 Apr 1919 to
Bessie Ellen STEWART, b. 8 Oct 1903; d. 11 Jun 1987. They had 12 children.

My "Stewart" line comes from my grandmother, Bessie Ellen. She was the
daughter of Robert Stewart, b. 26 Sep 1871; m. 30 Sep 1890 to Mary Mullins.
They had 16 children. They lived the most of their life in Long Fork of
Pike Co., KY.

Robert was the son of Isaac Stewart, b. 1843; m. Elizabeth Mullins. They
had 9 children. Nothing else is known.

Isaac is the son of Thomas Stewart, Jr., b. 1823; m. 23 Oct 1841 to Sarah
Lunce, b. 1819. They had 7 children.

Thomas, Jr., was the son of Thomas Stewart, Sr., b. 1766 in Rowan Co., NC;
m. Sally Matthews. They had 3 children.

Thomas Sr., was the son of David Stewart, b. abt 1728 in Sussex Co., DE; m.
Abigal ?. They are believed to have had 9 children.

David, was the son of Samuel Stewart, b. abt 1708 in Sussex Co., DE. m.
Lydia Harrison. they had 6 children.

Samuel, was the son of David Stewart, b. 1690 in Long Island, NY. I do not
have a listing for his wife. It is believed they had 3 children.

David, was the son of Dr. John Stewart, b. bef 1660 in Scotland (?); m.
Elizabeth Alburtis. They had 7 children.

From the first David on back it is very difficult to sort through and make
a good connection. Anyone having information, I would appreciate it. Also I
have been told that the Stewarts didn't really come from Scotland, could
have been England.

Anyone having any information on the line that is willing to share please
respond.
