Your John J. STEWART (1796-1890) of Ohio Co., (W)Va who m. Jane
McCUTCHEON (1798-1882) was a son of John (1745-1829) who m. Martha ELLIOTT
(1767-1831); John J.'s known siblings were Robert (1787-1876), Samuel
(1793-1826), and Matthew (1798-1825).
The father John (1745-1829) may have had sibs Robert S. (1752-1838) and
possibly a James. As you know, these were the tenants of the "Stewart
Brothers' Farm" on Peters Run.
Sources: Edson's the old Stewart Clan Magazine, "Our Stewarts" (Hall),
among others. I have also been to the Peters Creek cemetery, to the court
house(s), etc., as I suspect you have.
I have a James over on the Middle Wheeling. May or may not be related to
your line.
