In answer to Roger Thompson's inquiry about Robert Stewart:

My 7ggfather was Robert Stewart b. 1655 Perthshire, Scotland, d. 1714

Edinburgh, Scotland, m. Jannette Forsythe 1682. According to my
information
his father was Walter Stewart b. 1604-1633 Perthshire d. 1658-1718
(this
from Chapman-Pugh Genealogy by Minnie Mae Pugh and her source a book
by
Sir Bernard Burke). Walter's father was Sir John Stewart b.
Perthshire (same
source). The LDS Ancestral File 4.17 states that Walter Stewart was
the
father of Robert also.

I am trying to prove that Alexander Stewart b. 1685 Edinburgh d. abt
1714 PA
m. Mary Baily was the child of Robert and Jannette. Do you have
their
children?

The Chapman-Pugh book also states that Robert was a Covenanter and
fled to
Ireland during the reign of James II and settled in Londonderry.
After
peace was restored he returned to Edinburgh and died there. I have
not
heard of the Battle of Brockwell Bridge. Where did you get the
information
that he fought there?

I hope we can work together and sort out this puzzle.
