Peggy, I have a William STEWART born abt 1802/1803 in Jackson Co., GA and the
1860 Census of Chambers Co., GA had him there at that time. He died in
Chambers Co., GA in 1872. His wife was a Mamie MULLINS. There children
included:
Amanda Minerva STEWART, James Perry STEWART, Matilda Ann STEWART, Columbus
May STEWART, Ester J. STEWART, William V. STEWART, and America C. STEWART.
All the children except America were born in Hall Co., GA. America was born
in Chambers Co., GA.

I also have a William Cole STEWART, born 11 Feb 1839 in Heard Co., GA. He
died in Glenn, Heard Co., GA 29 Dec 1846.

I have a William David STEWART born 13 Jul 1853 in Heard Co., GA. He died 30
Oct 1886 in Rock Mills, Randolph Co., Alabama.

Those are my earliest William STEWARTs associated with GA. Let me know if
this information of any help.
