I can not give you any specific information on William Stewart
although that name appears in my Stewart line in GA several times.
The dates are way too early on my Stewart.

I would suggest you find a copy of the Stewart Clan Magazine. In
what I think is Volume XXX, No. 7. There is a reference to a William
Stewart selling land on the waters of the South Ogeechee in 1804..
This is Wilkes Co. and the same area as my Stewarts. There were
several unrelated Stewarts in this area at that time.
