The recent collection/mailing of STEWART data collected by
contained reference to James STEWART of Edinburgh, Scotland who came to
Virginia in 1722.

That James has a son named Isaac, b Apr 3, 1792 and d Feb 10, 1852. Isaac m
Susan C. Redman in Dec. 1813. This Isaac and wife had a number of children,
among them George Washington Stewart and Lafayette Stewart.

I find a William Lafayette Stewart, son of Isaac and Sarah Payne Nations
Stewart, b 28 Aug 1876 in San Augustine Co., TX and later in Hempstead Co.,
AR where he married Lucia Edna Coffee on 22 Oct 1896. This family
subsequently moved to Erath Co., TX.

Isaac and Sarah also had a son named George Washington Stewart, b 27 Sep
1885. He m Lenora Edna Samuel in Aug 1903 in Hempstead Co., AR and later
moved to Erath Co., where he died in 1965.

It is possible, perhaps probable that my Isaac and Isaac b 1792 are somehow
related. Does anyone have a more complete genealogy of the 1792 Isaac?
