Dear Suzanne,
There are a lot of references to Sleightholm in the National Arhives - RSA
database- where I happened to find them. Have you seen it yet?

Best wishes,

her Death Notice that appeared in the local papers in Tasmania - Australia -
she died 15/9/1906 at Hamiltontein - South Africa. Jessie Sleightholm nee
Laidlaw was born Scotland 1830's - migrated to Tasmania 1850 with her mother
and stepfather. She appears to be living in Launceston - Tasmania when her
husband passed away 2/1905. Logically a woman in her 80's would only travel
with family or to family at that age. 4 of her daughters also seem to have
disappeared from Tasmania around the same time they were MARGARET ALICE
SLEIGHTHOLM - FLORA CECIL SLEIGHTHOLM - RUTH SLEIGHTHOLM and ADA WINTER nee
Sleightholm (wife of Charles Gideon Winter ). As this is my first time at
trying to locate a person in South Africa I would appreciate any advice.
Also I would like to know the cost of purchasing a Death Certificate - I
found a page to download the form to apply but could find no information
regarding fees.
