Hi,
I have just joined the list.
I found out last week from the obituary of my Great Grandfather in 1914, that one of his sons was in South Africa at that time. He could be one of 4 sons -
Charles Levi SCOTT born 1885 and still in England in 1901, Frederick John SCOTT born 1863 and still in England in 1891, George SCOTT born 1873 and still in England in 1891 or John Thomas SCOTT born either 1871 or 1877 and still in England in 1891. They would all have been born at either Ten Mile Bank or Hilgay in Norfolk, England.
Can someone point me in the right direction of where I could look to see if I can find out which of these brothers did emigrate to South Africa.
I can't find any of them at later dates in England and to make things more of a problem, it seems that one of the brothers emigrated to Canada and another to Ireland. Who went where I would like to find out!
Any help, much appreciated.
