Hi Listers,
Does anyone have any idea when adoption was recognised legally,
particularly in England. There must have been a time when a widow
remarried and her offspring from the first marriage were just accepted
as part of the family and no legal structure (adoption papers) existed
for adoption. Anybody have any ideas?
