Hi Sharolyn,
What a coincidence!!! I am also looking for info from the Sacred Heart Church.
My grandmother was baptized there in 1886, so I am looking for information on
my great-grandfather, Constance Petrovich Yulutekov. The only date I have is when he wrote his letter/diary in 1884
after being in Bloemfontein for 22 years. He worked at Saint Michael's Home in
Bloemfontein, which was the home of the
English Sisters of Charity. He probably also married Margaret Susan Stechlin there and no doubt all his children were baptized at this church. If they died there the death notices will also be there and that I have no record of. His name changed from Yulutkov to Peters--maybe round about 1887[????]. My grandmother's baptism certificate's number is no.2097 page 156,
if that is any help? Now, I don't know if you look this up on the micro film or if I could do this myself, if you push me in the right direction? I live in Cape Town.
Thank you
Dunia
