Hi Becky
Snip
<Oops, one more thing.....why is it that ex-war veterans don't like sharing
<their experiences with their children and grandchildren?
<My grandfather and Dad never wanted to.
From my own limited experience war is not a school picnic and to relive it
is not a
pleasant experience and therefore those that were most deeply involved in it
tend to
keep the details in some hidden recess of the mind. On the other hand those
that romanticise it are usually those who had the cushy jobs and never saw
the action. They usually tell of other servicemen's experiences as if it
were there own. We human being get our kicks in some weird ways!
Best wishes
Mike
