Dear Bernie
Sorry about the delay for your operation. The waiting lists are about as
bad as they are here in Australia. My husband was told he'd have to wait
for three years for a cataract operation if he went to the Gov. hospital.
Ended up having the op the next month, and my daughter paid the $4000 in the
private hospital!!
I noticed that you live in Pietermaritzburg. Would you be able to go to the
Archives for me and check ONE only report?. It is my brick wall at the
moment.
PMP 4 283 Private Alexander Charles Hyde 1900
I found out that the PMP stands for Provisional Mounted Police. As I live
in Australia I cannot access the file, so would really appreciate the help.
